I moved to the Bay Area 4 yrs ago to work on a PhD in Romance Languages and Linguistics at UC Berkeley. While it's a big change from my NY life, the good weather and hiking opportunities made me a little less nostalgic for the Big Apple. I spent most of my free time painting when I was not hanging out with friends. To complement my academic side, I focused on showing my work in galleries and at other events. I also love to dance, anything from salsa to samba and everything in between, and got my fill in the Bay. However, after passing my qualifying exams, I decided to take half a year off to travel to all the places my research doesn't allow me to visit. My current blog will tell of my time in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa and maybe a few other countries in between.

I don't really have a comment to write, but I just thought that, being one of those Italians you mentioned, I should at least post a few words. Well... so it seems we won the Cup... so the only thing I can say is "Viva l'Italia... ma non troppo".
Oh... sh... I have to sign up! That's why there were no other comments... ok... ok... I'll do this one too.
